The Letter of the Week is D

This week’s letter is D. It was a bright and sunny, exciting day when I decided to try to get the two girls to discuss the letter D with me. It lasted for about five minutes. Then we went outside to play.  I just wanted them to learn what the letter D sounded like, what it looked like, and what types of words started with it.  Mostly we talked about dogs and ducks.  Then we colored pictures of dogs and the letter D that I had traced from a coloring book.  A lame project, I know, but none of us were feeling crafty in the house.

For lunch I made duck shaped biscuits which were enjoyed by all immensely (I think that M. had three!).  Then a baby dog friend (aka puppy) came over to play.  Oliver was an adorable addition to the gathering.  I didn’t get any pictures of him with the girls, though.

Have you thought ahead to all the letters? Some might be a challenge. Like X or Z

Well, I’ll come up with something. X’s could just involve trying to get the girls to draw X’s as they are probably the easiest of all the letters to write…Humm…

Who’s doggie came over? Was it Lisa’s new doggie? Aren’t you creative with the biscuits, Drew probably would have hated them, he is a carb hater!

Yeah, it was Lisa’s puppy… so cute!! You need to get your kid into bread. How will he survive holidays and vacation without it?

The duckie biscuits are cute, so what kind of pup did Lisa get?
